Rose Wilde

Rose Wilde was born in Cottage Grove, Oregon, and grew up in the even smaller town of Horton, Oregon.  After college in Texas and AmeriCorps service in Washington, DC, she moved back west, settling in Lane County in 1999.  Wilde just completed her first public budget process as a newly-appointed member of the Lane County Budget Committee.

After several years working in the non-profit sector, Wilde completed a Master's degree in public health at Oregon State University. Now she administers human services programs for the state of Oregon, helping families overcome poverty and protecting children from abuse and neglect.  She serves on the board of LaneBus, the Lane County affiliate of the Oregon Bus Project, an organization devoted to increasing young voter participation.

Rose's key political goals include securing stable funding for county and state service through increased constituent outreach and involvement.
