Elizabeth Kennedy-Wong

Being part of the Emerge Oregon training program is a great opportunity for me to explore how I can further my public service experience, broaden the role of women in policy and decision-making, and help support other women candidates.  I believe women bring a unique perspective to public policy - one that doesn't always get heard.  And Emerge fills a role for women, one that has historically been there for men, who are more likely to be asked to run and have a built-in network from which to launch their political careers.  I'm excited to be a part of this first class.
